Leveraging your Strengths as a Leader

So, you're a leader. What's next?

Leveraging your Strengths as a Leader — Sales Concepts

Objective

Help leaders understand and apply their unique strengths to lead with authenticity and impact. Participants will learn how to adapt their leadership approach based on their individual talents, strengthen team relationships by meeting the core needs of followers, and coach others toward peak performance through a strengths-based perspective. By the end of the course, leaders will be equipped with practical tools and strategies to create higher engagement, stronger collaboration, and sustainable results by leading from who they are at their best.

Course Synopsis

Effective leaders don't simply apply a universal leadership style, they adapt their approach to align with what makes them uniquely strong. Participants discover how to lead from their personal strengths, build stronger followership, and coach others in ways that bring out the best in every individual and their teams. Advance leadership skills to the next level through self-discovery, peer conversations, and actionable frameworks. Leaders learn to:

  • Understand how your strengths shape the way you lead.
  • Use “theme dynamics” to build team synergy rather than just manage tasks.
  • Focus on strengths to outperform a weakness-fixing approach.
  • Turn leadership conversations into strengths-based development and coaching opportunities.

Course Syllabus

CliftonStrengths Assessment — to be completed before the program starts.
  • Session 1 — Introduction and Understanding Your Strengths
  • We begin with uncovering what your top CliftonStrengths are and how they show up in your day-to-day leadership style. You'll explore your strengths language, the way you naturally show up as a leader, and how you can leverage those innate patterns in leadership decisions, conversations, and relationships.
  • Session 2 — Theme Dynamics
  • Leaders are more than a collection of individual strengths. This session demonstrates how those strengths, within you and your team, can create either synergy or unnecessary friction. You’ll learn how to identify where strengths overlap or leave gaps, anticipate how people are likely to react under pressure, and use these “theme dynamics” to encourage complementary, high-performing behaviors.
  • Session 3 — The Four Needs of Followers
  •  Leadership is ultimately about followers. We'll dive into the four core needs that followers bring to a leader: e.g., Trust, Hope, Stabilty, Compassion. You'll practice diagnosing which need someone is bringing, and apply strength-based tactics to meet that need...not by abandoning who you are, but by leaning into how you lead best.
  • Session 4 — Coaching to Strengths
  • In this final session, you'll shift from leading to coaching. Using strengths as the coaching foundation, you'll learn a simple but powerful conversation model to guide others toward higher performance: identifying strengths, designing stretch pathways, and creating accountability that aligns with natural strength use. We'll role-play coaching dialogues so you leave with confidence to have strength-based coaching conversations right away.
  • Individual Coaching Session Date and time to be determined with participant.
