Want to Increase Your Business Results?
by Bob Reed

A formal presentation sets you apart from the competition.
When you ask yourself how many prospects you need to close one new contract the answer is probably lots; ten, twenty, thirty. Let's say that in your business you have to work with ten to get one new contract. How do you improve results?

We all have the same amount of time. How we use this amount of time makes the difference. We need to look for ways to increase our success rate and/or reduce the time and effort required. Try using a formal presentation to get two or three successes from the ten (a 100% increase) with the same or even less time required.

Consider the benefits

A formal presentation sets you apart from the competition. ~ If you are willing to invest the time and effort to excel at presenting, you will be one of a very few and you will be in a select company. It creates an air of professionalism, competence, and confidence. Most others follow a worn path of least resistance and effort such as mail and routine telephone calls.

A formal presentation can be the motivation and forum for getting all the people in the decision process together at one time. ~ You know how difficult and time consuming it can be to contact all the deciding parties individually. In addition to saving time, there is a tendency to get all major questions and answers to those questions out for all to hear. The result is the elimination or reduction of further questions.

A formal presentation makes the perception of the selection process one of great importance. ~ The greater the importance to the customer the better chance that a competent professional is selected—that’s you. The bigger the prospect the more professionalism is expected

You gain experience and confidence
along with a feeling of self-satisfaction
and pride for a job well done.
